P.T.O (Parent Teacher Organization)

Coventry Christian Schools has a wonderful Parents, Teachers, and Others organization (PTO). Our PTO is second to none. This team of stakeholders works in so many ways to make Educating for Life at CCS possible. The PTO meets monthly as a complete organization, but there are often other meetings for subcommittees within PTO. PTO works to provide volunteers for both curricular and extracurricular activities, makes recommendations to the administration for school improvement, develops and hosts fun events for students and their families, and provides for educational resources for our students and their teachers. The PTO holds an annual auction, usually held in April, where it routinely raises in excess of $30,000 to spend on its goals. PTO projects have included providing teachers with allowances to spend on their classrooms and learning materials, technology for the classrooms, science lab equipment, athletics needs, special curriculum enhancements, playground equipment and upgrades, athletic fields, school spirit items such as signs, and a plethora of other wonderful contributions to our school community.

PTO has its own officers, and although it must abide by the mission and philosophy of CCS as determined by the board and administration, the leadership and agenda of PTO stand independent of school leadership and provide a unique voice for the parents and other stakeholders in the school community. If you are interested in being a part of PTO, simply come to a meeting. Meetings are open to everyone in the CCS community. There is a place for you in PTO!
